Transforming Touch

Transforming Touch is a therapeutic approach that takes us back through time to reveal and repair what has happened to us AND what never fully developed. This repair involves the life experiences when the brain decided to support you by protecting you and therefore halted the normal functions and processes of the body to “survive” instead. This strategy is how we have survived throughout history.

Our experiences in utero to age 7 not only create our physical form but also create our personality and how we orient ourselves through life. When our circumstances lack these components our fight, flight, freeze, or fawn response will ignite more readily and with less accuracy.  We can be left with incomplete development that can create daily challenges not easily recognized as developmental issues but instead will be labeled as personality or behavioral issues.

Transforming Touch promotes right-brain connection inviting engagement, relationship, and connection because our development happens before the left brain is fully developed. Therapeutic sessions using lite, non-invasive touch to 7 points of the body allow for awareness, attention, and support to repair and integrate the parts never fully developed.  The sessions focus on reducing the energy resources being misdirected to support our survival and redirecting those resources to healing.

The implications for repair and recovery are multilayered since our development is sequential.  When our primary reflexes do not integrate fully, we may experience a myriad of symptoms:

Anxiety, poor self-esteem, hypersensitivity, sensory overload, aggression, fear, social and emotional immaturity, hyperactivity, phobias, eating and sleeping disorders, speech and articulation problems, poor motor skills, difficulty with hand-eye coordination, poor muscle tone, postural issues, fidgeting, spatial orientation, poor concentration, toe walking, poor manual dexterity, sickness and so much more.

When unaddressed they can lead to a layering of difficulties as we move through life.  We may have more frequent injuries and accidents, develop gastrointestinal issues, have unfulfilling relationships, struggle with emotional balance, feel off but not know why, acquire illnesses that aren’t easily remedied, disease later in life, feel ongoing exhaustion and other symptoms that are actually signals trying to get your attention so you can heal.
